New Life!

I had the extreme pleasure and joy doing a photo shoot for baby Kierra the new born daughter of one my best friends and his lovely wife. She is a just a month old so she can't hold her self up much but she has a smile that could melt an iceberg!

Just out of Reach !

The RaySouth Cardinals state run ended on the first step towards the title when they were defeated by the Park Hill South Panthers. When I arrived the team looked energized and fired up, it may have to much of both as they made two major mistakes that resulted in a 10 -0 lead with out ever running a play from scrimmage. The fought back but lost 20-14, ending their season and any dreams of another shot at the state title. It was great fun photographing this team and I look forward to next season.......

Playoff Time !

The RaySouth Cardinals completed the regular season with a 7 and 3 record setting themselves up with a first round bye for the state championship playoffs. The game started out as a run away rout before getting a little more competive towards then end. It was xtra enjoyable to have my son there with altough he left to my own when the game started......parents just aint cool to hang with I guess!

My iPad has landed !

For a long time I strayed away from getting an iPad for a lot of reasons, one I'm not a Mac guy no disrespect and I'm not going to engage the Mac/PC war stuff, but my computers skills make any Windows issues I come across a simple fix and keep it moving. Two, I just didn't want to invest at least 500 bones for another device to take up space. And third I will never use AT&T service(but that's another post). But after talking with some photo guys and seeing the wifi version I can now say I have the 32gb iPad and I love it simply for the photo aspect and the ability to show off my work in a crisp and small package.....So if your a photo enthusiast and want something to show off your work you may look into an iPad.

Where Has the Time Gone ??

I was just a week behind in posting and now it's been over a month, well in that time I have shoot the 2nd Annual Blondes vs Brunettes game for Alzheimer's, upgraded to Windows7 64-bit (that was a chore but well worth the time to get it done) and have been shooting the Ray South Cardinals football season. Which is not going to good right now they are 1-2 but hopefully after tonight they will be back to 500 ball. Stay tuned !

Too Much Downtime !

At last football has returned as I have truly missed it. Today I shot Raytown South annual Red & White game which is a full team scrimmage they run right before the start of the season. The weather was forecast to creep back to the 100 degree mark but rain last night and early start made the day bearable. Starting it seem like I was a rookie trying to figure out where to shoot from and what action follow.

Blonde vs Brunettes Pt. 2

I have been blessed again to photograph the Blonde's vs Brunettes flag football game benefiting Alzheimer's Awareness. The game will be August 28th but practices have started and here are a few shots from the Brunettes first practices.

A couple of ladies asked if I would slow down from shooting people running at full speed and take some portrait shots of them. We had a great time and made some nice photos.

Back to the Gridiron !

Yes I know it's a little time before football season officially starts but some of my favorite players will be competing in the Missouri vs Kansas Allstar game on Thursday. So I have been practicing along the Missouri team to get the rust off and to get ready for the showdown at Shawnee Mission North High school.
